Workspaces, games, and roles
Workspaces
A workspace is Guardyn's isolation boundary. Games, reports, API keys, members, restrictions, subscription limits, webhook configuration, and exports belong to exactly one workspace.
One Discord account may belong to multiple workspaces and switch between them. Selecting a workspace does not grant membership; the server verifies membership on every request.
Roles
| Capability | Owner | Moderator |
|---|---|---|
| Review reports | Yes | Yes |
| Apply and revoke restrictions | Yes | Yes |
| Create games and API keys | Yes | No |
| Manage members and invites | Yes | No |
| Configure webhook and retention | Yes | No |
| Export workspace data | Yes | No |
Moderator seats are checked when an invite is created and again when it is accepted. An unused invite does not reserve a seat.
Subscription states
- Active: reports can be received and moderation actions can be taken.
- Grace: reports can be collected for three days as view-only records. Existing evidence and actions remain locked until renewal.
- Inactive: new reports are refused. Existing restrictions still answer join checks, and exports remain available.
A Child Safety Concern can enter the restricted owner queue even when ordinary moderation actions are locked. This does not unlock ordinary evidence for workspace moderators.
